Our beloved Prophet ﷺ said:

من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه في الدين.

“Whomsoever Allah wants good for him, He will give understanding of the dīn.”

At KOTI, we are pleased to present you with a simplified course to learn the Foundations of Fiqh (أُصُول الفِقه) which is termed usūl Fiqh in Arabic.

This knowledge is a fundamental basis on which understanding of the rulings is based. It isn’t a study of Fiqh, but the principles that underpin Fiqh.

This course will give a better understanding of:
Sources of Islamic rulings, their divisions of the rulings; the different aspects of wordings;
Types of statements; Commands and Prohibitions; General and Specifics
Understanding the actions of the Prophet ﷺ
Abrogation (naskh); Consensus and Analogy; Mufti and prerequisites to Ijtihad

Arming yourself with this basic introduction will put you at an advantage as you are more familiar with terms and usage of Islamic sources.

The delivery of this course will be rather unique, as it will delivered in a personalised format, where each student will received personalised tutoring following the audio lessons, making the learning process at each student’s own pace.
